The state of the ER pitch was the subject of some chat last Saturday.
I'm sitting watching Man City v Bolton and the pitch looks fecking pristine compared to the patch of turf at ER.
What's the problem? Surely one of the most miserable cities in Europe cannae grow a better patch of the green stuff than us?

The recent weather must have affected a lot of pitches (much Yam moaning about Fir Park - nae excuse! - it's always a tattie field) but that would include Manchester. No doubt they have a bigger budget for groundsmen than we do, but even so. Maybe the City pitch was simply re-laid more recently? I seem to recall something about the pitch a couple of seasons ago relating to a technical problem but can't remember the details. The undersoil heating doesn't do it any favours though and it must have been used a lot recently. Maybe Manchester wasn't under snow for as long as ER.

The ER pitch has been shit since they moved Tam to East Mains.
Matthew is right, it's a disgrace and should be one of Yogi's priorities.
